Buy Cameras - The Canon PowerShot A410 is the 3.2 megapixel successor of the PowerShot A400. Also offers 3.2x optical zoom, a 1.5” LCD monitor, 14 shooting modes, and VGA and QVGA quality movies. Uses SD card for storage, powered by two AA batteries. Should cost around $150, which is a pretty good price for a beginning digicam.

Pros: Great light metering, good battery life, easy display menu, fast start-up time. Very lite.
Cons: Dim display in daylight, needs 30 fps on video mode. Needs independent zoom controls.
The Bottom Line: For a new user, a great starter. Simple, good quality shots with enough creative control to make it interesting. If you want large, high grade prints, move up.
