Good Camera Overall. Some Quirks
Post by: jacobdrj - Date: 2008-08-08T13:08:23.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: Image Stabilization. AA Batteries. No Internal Memory. SDHC. Low Shutter Lag. Intuitive Controls.
Cons: Battery Meter Error. Long Flash Cycle. Bulky. Scratch-able Screen. Doesn't record to XVID.
The Bottom Line: If you can't find it for under $120, get a newer model. This one has a bug with battery life that is terribly annoying.

Great Pictures, Great Video, Great Design, Except LOW BATTERY DEFECT
Post by: wm826 - Date: 2008-05-31T18:30:09.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 1.00 rating
Pros: Great crystal clear pictures. Video with sound is amazing. All features are easy to navigate.
Cons: Battery indicator defect! Feels cheap, compared to Nikon's P50. Battery door difficult to open/close.
The Bottom Line: GREAT camera except for aforementioned problem. Avoid this model as Canon has no plans to recall or fix. Other models in this line may/may not have said problem.

Canon A570 Powershot IS
Post by: funky_dung - Date: 2008-05-30T21:46:09.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: Takes quick pictures with good results. Has lenses addons.
Cons: High ISO speeds make'grainy' pictures. Requires two AA batteries. Size may make it'non-pocketable'.
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend this camera because of its ease of use and its flexibility. Also again with the response time of the camera being rather quick compared with other non-professional cameras.
