Pros: Nice controls; great size; excellent focus; beautiful LCD screen; long battery life
Cons: More digital noise than I expected.
The Bottom Line: A good camera that has lots of excellent features. It all boils down to picture quality and the A700 has more noise in its shots than I was hoping.

Canon takes a step backward with the A700, but still comes through with a winner.
Post by: jvandegr - Date: 2006-05-06T21:00:19.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: Good image quality for a compact digital, inexpensive, intuitive, considerable zoom range.
Cons: Plastic tripod mount, ISO 800 unusable, lacks some of the capabilities of A620 model.
The Bottom Line: Great feature set, good ergonomics, and good image quality. Recommended if you need a large LCD and 200mm zoom lens, otherwise the Canon A620 is a better choice.
