Good Camera to Carry Around
Post by: jdklein - Date: 2010-09-22T22:27:59.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: easy to carry around, custom settings, video, good image quality
Cons: no hd video
The Bottom Line: I would buy this camera if you want a relatively inexpensive camera with video to bring with you when a dslr would be too much.

A great camera.
Post by: javman01 - Date: 2010-09-19T14:20:39.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 5.00 rating
Pros: If you have a steady hand, you'll very seldom get a bad shot.
Cons: No remote control. But they can be purchased aftermarket.
The Bottom Line: If your in the market for a $200 - $300 camera, save up the extra $100-$150 bucks for this one. You'll be so glad you did. Seriously.

Canon's G11 is a step in the right direction.
Post by: theuerkorn - Date: 2009-12-15T10:04:19.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: Excellent compromise between resolution and low light capability, RAW capture, articulated screen
Cons: much better than G10 but still noisy at high ISO, somewhat slow
The Bottom Line: Great power in a smallish package, (much) better than most P&S but no match for dSLR.

Excellent Point-n-shoot camera with advanced features
Post by: denniskly - Date: 2009-12-13T18:31:31.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: excellent natural-light pictures, good ISO, excellent battery, good video recording, excellent stabilization feature.
Cons: flash picture quality mediocre, no HD video
The Bottom Line: Recommended for point-n-shoot and advanced users. However: - if you don’t need rotating LCD screen buy G10 instead. - if you take lots of flash pictures nix this one.

Less is More
Post by: lawman67 - Date: 2009-10-27T11:43:37.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 5.00 rating
Pros: Improved high-ISO performance, articulated screen, superior design and construction
Cons: Still slower and noisier than a DSLR at the same price
The Bottom Line: The latest and greatest G-camera gives serious photographers what they've long asked for; a return to the articulated screen and lower resolution for reduced noise. Outstanding

Like the G10, A Dud
Post by: heartshot77 - Date: 2009-08-23T05:55:59.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 3.00 rating
Pros: Well built and good images in good light.
Cons: Basically a 200 dollar P&S in a better body.
The Bottom Line: The G11 is a bit of a fraud. Taking the guts from a Casio and putting them into a Rolex body is sort of what we have with the G11.
