Pros: Easily stowed away in a bag, clear pictures, easy to use
Cons: My only complaint is that it uses batteries VERY fast.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an easy to use camera that takes good pictures at an economical price, buy this camera.

Pros: Easy to use. Takes excellent outdoor images
Cons: Being more than six feet away when indoors or without flash results in grainy images.
The Bottom Line: I like the feel, look, ease-of-use, and quality of images the SX130 IS produces. I can recommend it.

Excellent camera for the money
Post by: heres2u - Date: 2011-05-23T13:38:12.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 5.00 rating
Pros: Zoom, easy operation, can use existing light for more realistic shots, nice size, buttons.
Cons: Rechargeable AAs required, regular AAs could be used in a pinch. Flash recharge time.
The Bottom Line: I can do more with this camera than the average point-n-shoot. It takes great pictures and there is actually something to hold on to and buttons my fingers can operate.

It's ok, but I wish my husband bought me the Nikon instead.
Post by: tamerica - Date: 2011-05-18T21:35:43.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 2.00 rating
Pros: Good photos of foliage. Zoom good for shoots of roses. Landscapes are nice. Video great!
Cons: Battery life horrible! Black and white is NOT black and white. Should have bought Nikon!
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this camera to anyone mainly because of the battery life. It is terrible! You cannot take black and white photos. The flash and photos lag.

A great in-between camera between compact and DSLR
Post by: gfxminc - Date: 2010-11-27T16:27:44.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 4.00 rating
Pros: Good pictures, Long zoom, HD Video (w/ zoom), can run on battery or DC-in, price.
Cons: ISO Auto is oversensitive in medium-low light, so-so battery life, shutter lag is sometimes slow.
The Bottom Line: Bang for the buck, suitable for anyone. Usable out of the box with manual control over everything for the enthusiast.

Great Point and shoot if you can get over the static...
Post by: jbird468 - Date: 2010-09-22T17:00:48.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 3.00 rating
Pros: Easy to use. Pictures/video. Capture on smile detect. Uses 2AA Batteries!
Cons: Very Grainy/Choppy live display between shots in average to low light.
The Bottom Line: I would wait to see if they fix this in the near future before buying. Most will not refund your money if you are only dissatisfied with the product.
