Buy Cameras - The EOS A2 is the world's first 35mm SLR camera with Eye Controlled Focus. The camera has five focusing points (||+||). You just look at the desired focusing point to select it and the camera autofocuses at that point. It was a dream feature. A focusing point can also be selected manually

Verdict : Not too impressed
Post by: photolar - Date: 2002-06-17T08:55:08.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 2.00 rating
Pros: Price tag alot less expensive than the EOS 1v or EOS 3
Cons: Need the owners manual by your side at all times. Difficult to recall all functions.
The Bottom Line: I guess a person like me who wants to seriously get into photography as a profession should look elsewhere as the EOS A2 does not deliver in many aspects.

Lacks Durability. Period
Post by: cjoy50 - Date: 2001-07-06T13:23:54.000-08:00 Author's Rating: 3.00 rating
Pros: Easy to use. Great focusing. Fairly decent price.
Cons: After heavy use expect the quick dial to break!
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. Your better off going with something more durable and less expensive. If want to step up to a a more comprehensive camera I suggest you step higher.
