Pros: Inexpensive. Powerful. Works really well with Nikons (including Coolpix 5700)
Cons: Big. Widest angle covered is 28mm.

Pros: Low price, high features, works well. UK distributor has good service level.
Cons: poor instructions manual. Mine was very unreliable.
The Bottom Line: First thought"Well worth the money", but I cannot recommend this to anyone anymore. (UPDATE Feb2003: mine's developed a fault after 3 months) (UPDATE Jul2003: same fault came back again)

Lots of flash for the buck

Pros: Affordable, powerful, bounce& swivel, 135 mm zoom, fast, neat display.
Cons: Engrish manual and continuous use restrictions.
The Bottom Line: Excellent value for the money, all the features an advanced amateur could want, but not meant for professional use. The Nikon model also doesn't support the digital SLR functionality.
